Lynne McDowell is the Founder and Director of her own PR company specialising in supporting the music and creative industries. Previously, Lynne was Head of PR for the BPI (British Phonographic Industry) supporting Universal Music, Sony Music, Warner Music and more than 300 independent record labels with corporate communications, public affairs, and CSR strategies and initiatives
Prior to moving to London, Lynne completed her studies at Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg (France) achieving a First Class Honours in a Masters in International Business and Languages. She moved to Brussels to undertake an advisory role in the European Parliament where she worked for Jim Allister MEP and the Non-Attached Group for almost four years. She left Brussels to take up the position of European Programme Manager at the Westminster-based charity, The Industry and Parliament Trust, delivering structured educational programmes in Brussels and London to educate business leaders and senior civil servants about the legislative processes in Europe.
Her portfolio role encompassed media relations, often acting as spokesperson for the music business, Government lobbying and the development of education and skills strategies and initiatives for young people in music.
In her spare time, Lynne enjoys all things music, dancing, travelling and visiting family in Northern Ireland.
